No trophy is easy to win but at the very least you ask that your side gives themselves the very best chance at winning it. This line up tonight was unnecessary, we only have domestic competitions to worry about, rotation should be minimal.

We may go on and win but we are currently losing to a badly gash Southampton side managed by the badly gash Leslie Hughes.

Hasn’t he got a good record with pens? Didn’t he save 2 in one game a season or two ago?

He isn't going to improve not playing. I have no problem with playing him here. I have no problem with the general idea of rotating but players like Schneiderlin, Stek and Baines who don't need to improve their fitness and don't have much of a future shouldn't have played.
