Ah, the professional Evertonians have deemed this a 'mad' team.

It's really, really not.

Richarlison suspended. Had no choice to change. Bernard must not be fit.

Digne and Zouma in - again, expected.

Stekelenburg in - no surprise.

The midfield is very attacking but we should see plenty of the ball. If we need to sure it up, we have Schneiderlin available.

If we need pace/a goal, Tosun and Walcott to come on.

Rotherham fans are hardly doing backflips over their selection either. Think the doom merchants of the board might look a bit daft.

Fair enough in that case. If they'd gone full strength I'd have expected it be close. Hopefully we can win by at least two now.

..interesting to see where he plays. He does have an excellent partnership with Kenny, presume Silva is exploiting that.
I think he has him in the no 8 role, box to box. Sounds strange but he played deeper in the second half of the last England U21 game and did really well. He was involved more in that game than any other I've seen him in and won MOM. Actually did 2 or 3 penetrating runs with the ball at his feet and his pace with the ball surprised me if I'm honest.

It's possible Siggy may be playing there with Dowell the further forward of the 3. Hope he has a good game either way.

Stek worries me. Massively so.

Davies captain? He's neither vocal on the pitch or our best player.

Who would you have given the armband to in that team? Sandro?

This time two years ago in a League Cup fixture against Yeovil, Barkley was given the armband.

It's good for Davies. He's a young lad having risen through the ranks and giving him the captaincy shows trust and faith and hopefully his performance lives up to that.

..so you don’t blame the club that he wants to leave?

We don’t know what’s gone on but both Brands and Silva have said he’s in their plans.

If his attitude is piss poor then I don’t blame them for leaving him out.

Or boosts his ego and signs for Chelsea

My problem with our team is it's full of players who could easily be playing in the Championship.

Iceland has captained... well, Iceland a few times. And probably Swansea. Surprised he didn’t get the shout to be honest. But it could be good for Little Tom.
