It's like amateur hour at times with us. So many basic mistakes over the course of the game today. Pickford MOTM, basically saved us a point there. Not happy with the showing though. A better showing is a must vs Watford.

That was absolutely garbage, bar Pickford and Gomes I didn't feel anyone in the side did themselves proud tonight. Looked like a gang of scared boys still reeling off getting Sunday and that's unacceptable.

They should spent the last few days desperate to get back on the pitch and put things right, be absolutely chomping at the bit to get into someone and let their emotion out. Instead none of them looked fired up at all, no passion on show other than the mentioned two above I thought. What the actual F?

Weak-mindedness still runs deep in the club and that was all we saw tonight, a team without enough bottle. No one looked desperate for the ball or like they were busting a gut really. Their goalkeeper, did he have to make a single save in the 2nd half? Did he make any in the entire game other than that Tosun chance? Other than that he might as well have had the night off.

New striker in January please. Really worried our season might go off the rails now unless Silva is able act quickly. No other side in the top 8 will drop points against them or Huddersfield or West Ham.

Piss-poor and indefensible.

They didn't look scared, they just looked off it. There's a difference. The crowd - and I hate to blame anything on the crowd because it's a two-way streak - but Christ the crowd were awful. Then again, we didn't give them much to get excited about.

Look, it happens. We needed a response and unfortunately came up against a side who were well-organised and once they got their chance they took it. Thankfully we pulled one back but once they got to HT they were never gonna do anything other than what we did.

Silva's subs didn't work and I think they could have been different/earlier.

Didn't really get taking Gylfi off (other than minutes) because we needed some craft and guile and we just ended up going long.

The main issue for me was Tosun. It's not that he played badly. It's not that he did much wrong. He just didn't offer what we need for how Silva wants to play. We NEED that striker to be able to get about and stretch a defence and he just can't do that.

Without that, we weren't able to get on the ball in that number 10 position at all.

Scared/lacking bravery, however you want to dress it up. For me they look totally flat and that's unacceptable, any true top team would have come flying out the blocks and and been desperate to get the supporters engaged and lifted. None of them bar Pickford for me looked like they'd had anything on their minds the past few days.

We have a good team, but we don't have a good squad. I'd say outside of about 13/14 players, we are a bit short on genuine quality. Although Tosun and Lookman didn't take their chances today, it's very difficult for players who are getting 10-20 minute cameos every other week to suddenly get thrown in from the start against settled Premier league defences with a big burden of expectation on them to make things happen.

At the end of the day, we need more (and better) players. I like Tosun, I thought he'd have a good season before it started but I think Marco decided pretty early that he wasn't the right player for this team. I haven't seen enough in Calvert-Lewin to suggest he's the answer but I anticipate after today that he'll be Marco's go to striker when Richarlison goes out wide.

Walcott and Bernard need to start contributing more as well. Without a dedicated striker, we need all four of our attackers chipping in with goals, we can't just rely on Richarlison and Sigurdsson every game.
