Said it would be a tricky and hard game, and so it proved to be. Felt more disappointed with a draw against Newcastle than I did with the defeat against Liverpool for some reason.

My MotM is Jordan Pickford. He may have cost us the game against Liverpool, but he kept is in the game tonight.

That was absolutely garbage, bar Pickford and Gomes I didn't feel anyone in the side did themselves proud tonight. Looked like a gang of scared boys still reeling off getting Sunday and that's unacceptable.

They should spent the last few days desperate to get back on the pitch and put things right, be absolutely chomping at the bit to get into someone and let their emotion out. Instead none of them looked fired up at all, no passion on show other than the mentioned two above I thought. What the actual F?

Weak-mindedness still runs deep in the club and that was all we saw tonight, a team without enough bottle. No one looked desperate for the ball or like they were busting a gut really. Their goalkeeper, did he have to make a single save in the 2nd half? Did he make any in the entire game other than that Tosun chance? Other than that he might as well have had the night off.

New striker in January please. Really worried our season might go off the rails now unless Silva is able act quickly. No other side in the top 8 will drop points against them or Huddersfield or West Ham.

Piss-poor and indefensible.

All this patronising “that’s the best Everton team I’ve seen at Anfield in years” nonsense, we STILL haven’t beat any of the sides we always bow down to: draw at Chelsea, loss at Arsenal, loss at Man U, loss at LFC. If we are gonna be so weak against the top sides, you can’t be as weak against the dross at home (Huddersfield draw, W Ham loss, Newcastle draw).

Well that was slightly frustrating. Thought in fairness Newcastle stuck to their game plan very well, they got everyone behind the ball and kept a very good shape. Sadly we didn’t quite have the guile to pick our way through it... and the times we did Digne couldn’t hit a cows backside with a banjo.
At least Watford will show some ambition come Monday, should mean more space which should favour us.
Gomes is a must signing. He’s the absolute difference in us keeping hold of the ball in midfield (and then actually doing something with it)

Flat performance. lacked sparkle, not surprising after Sunday's stoppage time sickener.

After a decent rest we will be back on it against Watford next Monday.

Keep the faith.
I agree the performance was flat, especially that second half but we still dominated. We’re a good side and we’re getting better but with that comes teams like Newcastle and Cardiff who will sit back and try to defend deep, kick two lumps of s**t out of us and nick whatever they can. To break into the top 6 we need to learn how to break these teams down - the likes of Spurs and Arsenal do it all they time. That’s the next step.

The battle for 6th is going to be a humdinger. Us, Utd, Leicester, Bournemouth, Watford and Wolves. Six very even teams. Mind you, the gap to 5th is huuuuge.

United have by far the best squad out of those teams. If they don´t pull away comfortably Mourinho´s had an absolute mare.

I fully understand why he started but I thought he was rubbish. DCL deserves time over him.

Dcl shouldnt be near the team either but we have no options. If the likes if dcl is getting game time next season we wont be improving league position. Such an average player but at moment understand how he might be brought on on a night like tonight with nothing else there
