Newcastle fans certainly can't claim to be a big club by setting up like that in a game like this. Their massive celebrations at the end showed how small of a club they are.

Pity our fans dont make any noise. Support at home was dead in second half when 1 all, in 6th place in league and under the lights. Gwladys street has lost its buzz and doesnt know how to get it back.

Nights like tonight Just highlight how we're still a work in progress really

Silva has done well to get us into top six contention, but he and Brands probably still need another couple of windows to get us how they'd like

We're just going to have to take the rough with the smooth this season

We've seen big progress already and hopefully we can get a scalp of a big team or two before the season ends

Frustrating draw but it is a transitional season.

Heading in the right direction and a proper preseason with Brands and Silva,I'm already looking forward to next season.

Absolutely all this.

We’re still way ahead of where I thought we’d be at this stage this season.

Back up to 6th but only on GD and there is an 8 point gap to 5th. Got to take 3 points next monday, no excuses. They werent good enough tonight and Silva was wrong to make changes, in hindsight. The changes made us worse and it was hard to get the balance back again after that.

Bernard is just behind Silva for chances created this season. 2.9 per game compared with Silvas 3.0. Its the finishing that's the problem.
Not all chances created are equal. Bernard isn't creating big chances as much as Silva is and the problem is almost no one on our team is. The Cardiff game we had multiple chances set up by bounces off their players and tonight it was another ricochet that set up the goal. In fact as bad as he was in the second half the two other first half chances for Gylfi and Tosun came from Digne. Anfield it was Walcott who set up Gomes but that's the rare exception lately where our wingers created something.
