Centre half with pace and power is a must in the Jan Transfer window.

for the future your right John but atm there's no chance either Jags or Distin will be changed barring an injury or needing a rest. Every now and then they come up against a forward who gives them a tough game but in the main they are a quality cb pairing.

Thought we were disjointed and I was disappointed let them have as much of the game as they did, not to mention the awful goal we conceded.

We are never going to control the game for 90 mins

They made changes and they were always going to come out better second half after having a bollocking from Pardew

They created very little IMO, Lukaku tired which did not help, Overall we dominated the game from start to finish

A 3-2 score line flatters them a lot to say the lest

We have 3 points so it's hard to complain. I am sure the staffs will review our defensive errors and the team will learn from the mistakes.

It's amazing the psychological effect which half you play well in and in what order the goals are scored can have on your opinion of a match.

If Newcastle had gone in at half time 2-0 up and we scored all our three goals in the second half some people would be feeling like we were world beaters yet the scoreline would have been the same as today's.

Football is amazing. The Premiership is amazing.

We wern't 'really poor' though. Yes, we lost two goals, which is a big issue, but we weren't uncomfortable apart from the last two or three minutes.

Take the game in the round...we got on top of them and they could barely muster a challenge until the last two minutes.

Lots of things we can improve on Dave, buts thats a massive positive imo that we have played some quality football tonight and still I can see us getting better. 2nd half was a good lesson where the lads will walk off a little bit pissed off with themselves that a game they had control of was closer than it should have been. 3 points in the bag, City roll on and lets see if we can take something from them. 10 games in is where I think a season starts taking shape, 4 games to go and can we pick up points and keep the undefeated run going? I see no reason why we can't. Onwards and upwards EFC!

732 - Everton have completed more passes in the final third than any other team in the Premier League this season. Architects.

I love this, we've played some superb football in the last three game. Four goals conceded in three games, ok.... but that's fine when you score seven, so who cares?

Newcastle were poor going forward, but looking at the way we were so wasteful with the ball in that second half I couldn't help but think we were there for the taking. A better side that are good going forward, such as the sh*te, I feel, would have gone and taken at least a point and capitalised on our nerviness.

Extremely annoying conceding two goals so vastly against the run of play, just like last week.

Complacency sat in big time at in the second half. We kept trying the spectacular when we just needed to hold on to the ball.

We´re still absolute mustard though. Best team in the league at the moment, behind Arsenal.
