Our possession based philosophy seemed to experience defenestration in the second half...but great to get 3 points AND go off the field knowing there is still ALOT of things to improve (ie there should be no complacency after that second half performance)

Very happy with tonight generally, world class in the first half but worried how we keep on tiring after the hour mark. I think we'll gradually be a more complete 90 minute side a few months from now though when fitness levels level off.

All that Lukaku needs is exactly what Bobby Martinez is giving him and that's 90 minutes, something he's been lacking for 3 years as he was used as an impact sub quite a lot last year from what I remember. His stamina, awareness and concentration levels will increase and what we seen in the first 45 minutes we will start getting for 75-85 minutes. He's gonna be the difference between challenging for a CL place and being an also ran in 6-8th. Quality loan signing and I think he's going to absolutely murder some defences as the season goes on.

3 points but we always make it hard. Jags is becoming a concern for me. Lukaku was brilliant 1st half and dross in the 2nd half. We have to learn from these games and Jags as captain has to step his game up.

Jags will struggle when their strikers are big lads. Jags is kind of short (as a CB). John Stones will step up very soon I think.

Centre half with pace and power is a must in the Jan Transfer window.

Thought we were disjointed and I was disappointed let them have as much of the game as they did, not to mention the awful goal we conceded.

We wern't 'really poor' though. Yes, we lost two goals, which is a big issue, but we weren't uncomfortable apart from the last two or three minutes.

Take the game in the round...we got on top of them and they could barely muster a challenge until the last two minutes.
