Whole team outstanding first half. Coleman, McCarthy, Barry and Baines the only ones who played even nearly as well in the second

Freak hit by Cabaye made matters a bit difficult. You cant legislate for a goal like that.

As Del says, they didn't deserve two goals and we should have added to our three.

4th is 4th, no matter how you get there!!

Well in blues.

Though Newcastle where very lucky to score 2 goals tonight

A wonder strike and a cock up in our box, Apart from that they were held off to long shots

Us on the other hand should have added at least one more to the three we already had

yeah, i mean howard didn't actually make a save did he?

We did not play badly in the second half

They had 10 mins of pressure then we dominated again until they scored in the 89 min

Poor second half. Really poor. Slightly worrying that we can't seem to keep up high standards for more than half a match.

Overall, we delivered the minimum requirement, but promised so much more. Made up with the first half, but tonight we gave them way too many chances. They weren't without chances first half either, it must be noted.

I would like to and do reckon we'll learn to keep our performance levels high for longer as we move forward though.

Big test at City. We've got to tighten the [Poor language removed] up for that Roberto.

We played fine in the second half, should have scored one or two more and weathered their storm well. The last goal was all arse, although Howard should have covered it.

Three points, a good showing and still with plenty to improve on. Good times.

Agree. First goal an absolute wonder strike which and second was complete arsehole.

Erm.............

Second half was always going to be difficult, simply because there was no way Newcastle were going to play that badly again. I thought the move to bring Deulefou on was genius as their back line simply didn't know how to deal with him. Keep up the tempo from the first half for a whole 90 minutes and we'll frighten most teams

"Yes, it was fantastic to make my debut at home, i was going to go for 8 goals tonight but didn't feel it was neccesary as Newcastle are **** and got lucky with their goals, i'm now going to celebrate in the brick and i'll let your birds snort beak off me dick if neccesary, inabit ked."
