....typical, not sure where Barry and McCarthy went to 2nd half but the Newcastle lad ran the show. A win is a win, eh. Coleman MoM for me.

Same, thought he was brilliant throughout. Turning into a hell of a player. When Baines doesn't light up the show, Seamus does. And vice-versa. It's beautiful.

Geordies were always gonna come out and have a go but ****ing hell we made that 2nd half bloody difficult for ourselves!. Relieved to get the 3 points and a bit more calmness in front of goal 2nd half and we would have been out of sight. Still a work in progress until we can sustain the first 45 minutes for longer spells in the 2nd half but its a welcome 3 points, unbeaten, and now 4th in the league.

I dont know if this has been mentioned but does anyone know what lukaku's goal celerbration is all about .. im a little worried its a signal to mourinho as when lu signed for us he said that he had an agreement on the phone with him .. any idea's

We'll get beat 4-1 by City if we play anything like that on Sat

you're an utter moron if you think that! newcastle played well, you have to give them credit, they didn't exactly cause us too many problems though. they've score 2 goals yet howard hasn't had a save in anger to make.

we realistically could have scored 5 or 6

3Pts but Christ what happened to us in the second half..we've only played 6 games not fkin 36.

Barca Lad, and our 2 full backs seemed the only ones full of running.

Though Newcastle where very lucky to score 2 goals tonight

A wonder strike and a cock up in our box, Apart from that they were held off to long shots

Us on the other hand should have added at least one more to the three we already had

That's okay. Lukaku does get way too lazy towards the end of the match though.

We played fine in the second half, should have scored one or two more and weathered their storm well. The last goal was all arse, although Howard should have covered it.

Three points, a good showing and still with plenty to improve on. Good times.
