Gana without a doubt might as well stop putting the rest of the team on because since we signed him he seems to be the only player that gets voted for he is the best player we have by a country mile and I'm gutted he didn't get a goal today because that's all his performance was missing

We became a better attacking team when Delofeu and Valencia came on and we started to play off the cuff football. Unlike the sterile lack of movement from Lukaku and Bolasie tosh dished up before. Mirallas was moving around a lot more today.

Instrumental in getting back in the game was Gueye. He took the game by the scruff of the neck and drove us forward and we looked more threatening. A big shout has to go to Gueye, as well, for having a go at Lukaku for his lack of movement. The same to Delofeu who had to tell Lukaku to get in the middle rather than being on the wing taking Delofue's space.

I'd like to see a front 3 of Delofeu, Valencia and Mirallas against Watford and leave Lukaku on the bench.
Ft agree with you here

Yes, against Watford. The team that finished two points behind us last season, and is two points behind us tonight.

BBC Sport;

The previous time Palace played at Wembley, Bolasie did not make it onto the pitch as his side beat Watford in the 2013 Championship play-off final. On Sunday, the 26-year-old, who was playing non-league for Rushden & Diamonds seven and a half years ago, made up for lost time at the national stadium.

Watford's defenders struggled to deal with his pace - Miguel Britos fortunate to escape after Bolasie skipped past him only for Costel Pantilimon to make an excellent save. Bolasie has now scored in his last two games for his club after failing to score in the previous 12.

And I think he was MOTM in the game here last season and the season before.

Watford. Yes 2 points behind us last season, our worst season in donkeys years - bad enough to get Martinez fired, and Watfords best ever finish in the Premier League. I'm afraid I'm not going to use that as a barometer of a players talent.

I do remember him playing well against us, but we were garbage too.

Agree with every bit of that.

Valencia is poor, but at least he's mobile and will drag players about, and Lukaku urgently needs a kick up the arse.

Bolasie doesn't set the fee - which wasn't £28m btw.

He's our best winger. He's inconsistent and infuriating, but Del isn't very good.

Del got the most assists last season and you could tell through some of his crossing\passing that his has ability above anyone else in the squad, including Bolasie.

Why he's playing so badly is anyone's guess but I don't think Koeman is getting the best out of him.

I seriously think we need to get an ex flair player to come in and coach players like Del. Our creative players all make bad decisions during matches but they have skill, they're just not utilising it well.

Del is by far the best crosser we have but isn't getting in to positions to cross often enough. The coaching team isn't doing a good job so far imo as Del, Barkely etc have regressed if anything.

Del was inconsistent last season, when he was getting a proper spell in the team but he was still creating more often than Bolasie is at present. I actually think we've taken a step backwards playing Bolasie ahead of Del as Del creates more even when he's going through a bad spell.

Imo Bolasie won't get as many assists as Del did last season, even though he'll probably end up starting more games than Del did last year.

I've been a strong defender of Lukaku in the past but he was yet again very unproductive. Frankly it seems we are long balling it because that's the only option we have going forward, when in practice it completely goes against the pressing set up so it's a redundant tactic.

And no denying Stek can make a fine save, but I question whether Joel would really have made as many costly mistakes as Stek has recently.

United were as bad as us today thankfully. And none of the team are doing anything to disprove my opinion that none of them bar Gueye should be in the first 11 next season.

The problem with Del is he is blowing out of his ar$e after 60 mins

Gana, but because he got some help.

His level had dropped the past 3-4 games and I think some of that was down to being the only one manning the pumps. Of course old (and wise) man Barry was out for one and most of the rest were AWOL (Chelsea, Southampton). Today however the rest put in a shift - albeit not with great conviction or achievement - but the ship was steadier and the point was more than deserved.

With the help arriving he was able to contribute positively as well, a few decent forward passes and a good shot which is part of his game not seen too much before today.

Not much quality on show but at least the team showed plenty of fight which everyone was demanding. I thought Gueye was superb.Coleman and Williams had good games and mirallas was much improved. The introduction of valencia and the change of formation completely changed the game

He got in loads of decent positions today pal, yet didn't put in a decent ball.

I agree he has more potential and ability, but his aptitude is awful. He doesn't apply himself enough, and I'm sick of him getting let off the hook for his dire performances.

He came on today and stunk the place out. I'm not the only one who thinks like that.

I want him to succeed and want him to fulfil his potential. But he needs to step up, and that isn't down to Koeman.

He stretches play and holds his width so much better and his movement is good. Bolasie was pure unadulterated garbage again today. I'm no big Deleuofeu fan but at least he tries to do the right things and can provide a spark.
