Digne cant get back in quick enough for us. You can see what he brings immediately you see Baines checking back on a run upfield. It impacts Richarlison too: he has to be everywhere on that left hand side AND get into attacking positions.
Nah you're making it out as if the lad had a bad game - he didn't, he was decent and played well, bar a few miscontrolled balls. He's a backup at this point anyway, no point in laying into him.

We're not setup for the super overlap at this point anyway, it seems, so it's pointless to pick that out as some sort of error. His crossing today, however, wasn't up to par.

Whatever VAR, De gea has full sight of the ball, that's why he moves to his right as DCL shoots, Siggy is blocking none of his view to the ball.

Siggy should have scored with his shot anyway just before it.

Much better 2nd half, created plenty, could have and should have won.

Should've got off his arse and got back onside instead of sitting there sulking like a pleb after missing the sitter.

Possibly so. Providing he doesn’t move his body in any way. What he did was practically a dummy.

Imagine if an offside player ran over the ball 2 yards in front of the keeper.

Irrespective of the direction of the ball, it’s offside.
The game isn't refereed that way almost always though. So often a player can be right near that ball and not get called for it. This goes against how 99% of these incidents get refereed which is what makes it such a joke.

He couldn't have got back onside most likely. He didn't know that when he first went down though. If your team is attacking in the final minutes of a game the last thing you do is sit on your arse in their box. Get up and play asap. It's the lack of urgency.

Of course he knows that, he's a professional footballer. The only options once the ball rebounds behind him are stay down and hope whatever happens is over his head or get himself into the goal or off the field (and I only thought of those as options 10 minutes later). He has one or two seconds to make that decision.

What would you have done?

Take a point after the first half.
Much better in the 2nd.
We are never going to get a contentious decision go our way lads.
Been living with that forever.

You assume incorrectly how many times have Everton been shafted by VAR this season it's approaching double figures.
Wasn't it something like we've had 7 or 8 decisions go against us with horrible results this season? There's definitely a few where it should've been different.

Also imagine putting JOHN MOSS as a VAR ref. He's not even a proper ref ffs lol
