Digne cant get back in quick enough for us. You can see what he brings immediately you see Baines checking back on a run upfield. It impacts Richarlison too: he has to be everywhere on that left hand side AND get into attacking positions.

If it had hit him then he'd still have been offside, but yes it doesn't matter because that (edit: the deflection) was what fooled de Gea, not Sigurdsson sat there.

Ok, so he jumps up, he's straight in front of De Gea and any goal is still disallowed then you're all complaining that he shoudl have stayed down to not intefere with play.

This is a simple case of letting your opinion of a player colour every situation the player is in.

Gilfi, was in an offside position when DCL took the shot, the ball was deflected, Gilfi moves out-of the way of the ball made no effort to play the ball, the only question is was he obstructing the goalkeepers vision? De Gea is 6"4' and Gilfi is lying on the ground it's not possible that his vision was obscured as he was going the right direction to save from DCL's shot the deflection wrong footed him, he's never going to save it. Goal should have stood.

Not necessarily. He has to intentionally play it, a deflection doesn't count. That was a deflection imo.
