Only explanation I have is that he's accepted the season is dead and is just trying different things. He hasn't seen how god-awful Sigurdsson is wide left so perhaps he just wants to see it first hand.

It’s quite clear by how we’ve played and what they’ve said that whoever plays there is going to be asked to tuck in at number 10 when we’re in possession.

He’s only on the left when out of possession.

People have said that under 3 or 4 managers now and it hasn’t happened once and hasn’t worked once either.
