Beglin was co-commentator on NBCSN. Why have an ex-Red player commenting on our game? You know what you're going to get. Perhaps the Yanks/Canucks don't mind, but it was the only way I could watch tonight, and I minded very much.
I know the feeling, get the same commentary here in NZ. I can only think its the Irish accent to get the yanks all misty eyed about the love of dear old Ireland that they've never even seen.
He loves to give it out to the likes of Richarlison for taking a tumble too easily (farir enough) but whenever a RS does exactly the same he says nowt.

Good insight mate.
I thought Zouma was with Aguero (which I wouldn't want). But when you say it like that (freedom in the zone to attack the ball) it makes more sense. But....clearly they aren't attacking it.
Also, what happens when the opposition put it in a 'zone' where our smallest players or poor headers of the ball are? Example... Harry Maguire on the back post with Coleman? Zouma and or Keane nowhere in sight. I'm just not a fan of it.
You shift a bit if its inside. But in man, same thing, they pick you or run you off and away from goal. It's how you handle it as a player. Either way, if they want their best player in the air 20 yards from next, fine. We've got enough players that are okay in the air to at least disturb the attacker. Look, every team is going to concede free kicks. But this time, it was right where our strength was and no one went up and got it.

I mostly find Beglin to just be tedious. He did say yesterday when city got away with two bookable offences in a minute “has the referee forgotten his cards tonight?” I don’t watch any of their matches on television so I can’t comment on how he is during their games tbf

Tim Cahill hanging out with his old friends, two of whom played for City, is everything that is wrong with our club, according to this thread. He also was recently photographed with Jags and their respective sons. What a rotter. Arteta and Stones are his old mates and Stones is still friends with his old team mates. I'm sure Lukaku and KDB would probably be catching up in the tunnel. If Jags, Baines and Coleman had been smashing Stones over the head with bricks, which I'm sure you would all prefer, we still would have lost. City are a better side.

Thanks for reminding me why I rarely come to this part of the forum, and why I'm beginning to turn away from Everton as a club. Nice homophobia as well.
Davies played the best I've seen him this season though I still don't know how he gets the captain's armband. He must possess hidden strengths known to his manager.
Well, Jags can't have it since you lot think he sucks, Coleman can't have it since you lot think he also sucks, Baines can't have it since none of you like him either, so who do we give it to? Sigurdsson? Kenny? The cat?

Nothing to do with being mates. Of course that's fine. Cahill and Arteta did best man at each others weddings. It's the fact it came out minutes after another home defeat. It's symptomatic of a wider problem. We just lose, have a laugh about it, and move on.

Davies was really good tonight. Got my vote.

Special mention to Kenny who played well defensively.

Despite some decent individual performance we never looked like a team with the ball. When we break, we are all over the shop.

Need to get a win this weekend, players need to find a way to get the 3 points.

Disappointed with Richarlison again, needs to mature and use his frustration positively, Davies and Kenny don’t have his flair or match winning credentials, but they have fight and Richarlison needs to improve this side of his game.
