whats your opinion then lad?

My opinion is exactly the same as those who are responding to you.
If we opened up against them we would have been murdered on the counter and we'll be back to square one confidence wise? Why ruin that within one game. It wasn't the best performance, but it shows that we're starting to get back to our best defensively, and its something we can build on. If we were playing with confidence like we were last season id probably complain, fact is, we're not. Its a step in the right direction and you clearly aren't seeing it as one.

Only Couintho has the ability to cause us problems. Seriously stick besic on sterling its game over

They specialise in doing teams on the counter as we found out last year... We are nowhere near at a level of confidence to be try and take the game to them. If you were happier with the 4-0 where we controlled the game than you were with today's result then fine. If not then stop knee-jerking and appreciate what it means going forward and what a loss would have meant.

And the reason our attacking options are so poor is because Martinez has broungth in these options

Lukaku £28 Million
Kone £6 Million
McGeady 0
Atsu 0
Lennon 0

Three of those are free's and loans ffs

How many top quality players dod you think you will find for sweet fa

Thank Christ we have Lukaku who has double figures in a side that see's Naismith/Barkley/McGeady supplying him

Its not a step in the right direction we drew nil nil at home whats positive about a nil a nil draw at home against a poor liverpool team?

Just got back, not a very good derby at all. Don't know why Barry was on that pitch at times. Not much else to say, we could have had them if people put some effort in to press them a bit which we did after that little bit of handbags for about 2 minutes. Lennon looked decent. Barkley should have come on way earlier. Their fans are woeful, not a peep from them all game, no surprises there. We could have had them but we were just so negative. Still don't know why Barry was on that pitch. No doubt Besic will be dropped in his place though so he can slow everything down and give the ball away against Leicester.

We were leaking goals, Before the City game we let in 9 in 4 games, He's sorting that out, You can not win games letting in 2-3 goals a game can you?

Who said anything about playing 7 defensive minded players every game? He's only done that tonight if I can remember correctly, Against Palace we played our normal 4231, The reason we are struggling to score is that our options in attacking positions are poor

Scoring goals changes games, gives us confidence, like I said before, the goals we conceded were from own making. Getting some goals would have lifted us and have teams respects us more than thinking we get a win.

- Hull 0-2, we were poor when he attempted to play three centre backs
- Newcastle-2-3, Barkley gave the ball away for the first & poor clearance for the third
- Stoke 0-1, well shouldn't of been a pen
- Southampton 0-3, Was the last game I feel we defended badly in our normal setup.
