I didnt watch, but perhaps their goal, which sounded a bit soft, gave them a shot in the arm? They are a decent team, in form apparently, with 5000 fans getting over excited. Happens year in year out in the 3rd round.

The anomaly in the matches so far was Spurs putting 7 past Tranmere, not Everton having an unexpected, (league position wise), battle against a spirited visitor.

Was another one in which Pickford has saved the first attempt and then an opposition player has slotted the second attempt. Our players rarely seem switched on enough to get to the ball first and clear the danger.

Just back from the game... and five years closer to the grave after sitting through that. How come one goal by a div 2 side knocks the stuffing out of us like that? Another goal or two during our early exhibition match stuff would have made this a fun afternoon out, but, oh yes, we have to do it the hard way.

We went through which is the main thing, but 18 shots on goal and only 5 on target is poor, we need to be putting these chances away, at least working the keeper more

Its called the FA Cup mate. Happens.

I think the expression is ‘hollowed out’. Marco looks empty, devoid of spirit...and terrified. It’s like he getting nightly visits from the bloke with pins in his face from that Hellraiser movie.

I think he looks like he needs a few months in some salubrious location...a sanatorium in Switzerland perhaps.

Everton has terrorised the poor fella. I hope his situation is not terminal...but I fear the worst.

and another thing is there some sort of footballing reason we hit so many shots miles over the bar. If the ball pops out to one of our players outside the box....he shapes to shoot....and in our hearts we know where it is going....row Z
