Yes you're right as we're through to the next round which is the most important thing; how we achieved the result can to an extent will be forgotten if we progress.
Yet, what worries me is that today we were making the same mistakes that we see in PL games: lack of composure; not creating changes; lack of being clinical.
I was hoping today would be a chance for players to express themselves, show their quality and improve confidence. Instead, we're looking at the same woes.
All credit to Lincoln by the way as I think they played their own game very, very well.
I see that our lack of creativity and free flowing football are part in fact part our questionable decision making and general timid approach to the game.Eh, there was definitely some poor decisions and panic in the first half, but we eventually settled in. Creativity? Free flowing? Not yet, but the most important thing is making better decisions with the ball and cutting out the unforced errors.

One of the Top 6 away it is thenI'm just glad we got through after what in many ways was a typical cup tie.
We were expected to win and for me, we played like we had to do just about enough to get through.
Lincoln are top of League Two, playing with confidence and, in some respects, had nothing to lose. Fair play to them for the way they played but, in typical Everton style, we made them look much better than they are.
Fingers crossed for an easy home draw in Round 4.
At first glance, I thought the keeper must have made a mistake as it seemed to be in the air for a long time and didn't have too much pace on it.Tell you what though, Lookman must be the smallest player bar Bernard and he scored a header.
Nah...West Ham or Leicester at home.....Oh Dear lollolOne of the Top 6 away it is then
