I’m not sure what’s more worrying though....our lack of attacking prowess or the naivety that we are showing against these sides. You could cross the ball in the air from now until next Christmas and DCL won’t beat Maguire to it. The one that goes in low beats the defence but no Everton striker anticipates it.

I love this post. However it always strikes me when teams run into poor form there's a very good chance it will be blamed on a lack of passion! Can someone define what this lack of passion is as they all look like they are trying to me. What characteristics can be identified when watching a team that lacks passion?

From my time following the team and having had the pleasure of meeting some of them, these bled with passion for Everton:

The holy Trinity
Brian Labone an absolute gent
Alan Whittle
Bob Latchford
Mike Lyons
Terry Darracott
The whole of the mid 80s team

I can't go back earlier than 1969 in my Everton memory but there are many men that played for this club who would show much more passion than that lot today.

Can we please get a new right back, and centre midfielder who can run all game, pass, and on occassion create/score goals. What we have now are 3 midfielders who have one of those attributes each.
I know those types of midfielders are hard to find (and pay for) so I'll settle for a player who can run, tackle and who has passing ability. After all, centre mids are supposed to be able to do that aren't they?

Oh...and a goalscorer who can trouble defences too.

All sadly lacking against Leicester today.
