But do you not think - even though I agree he isn't a natural no.9 - that he makes us better as a team in that position than DCL and Tosun?

The answer is evidently yes. So for now he has to play that role, at least in home games where we have more of the ball.
Perhaps... we picked up a couple decent results after all - but back to my original point, we've moved him back onto the left (why did we do that if up front was working for Silva?) And it's messing with his game. It's not benefitting Richy or Everton to be constantly chopping and changing his position regardless of whether myself or Joe bloggs thinks he's better wide or upfront.

Well a mistake against Leicester and Brighton was what cost us the game but I believe we were still the better team regardless.
We may have been unlucky against Brighton but today we were second best.
Very telling interview with Souness on sky just now. He’s hit the nail on the head....not enough in the final third. We can have all the possession but if we can’t create clear cut chances and get shots on target we will lose or draw every time.
Opposition are increasingly happy to let us have the ball as we huff and puff, but ultimately we do nothing with it. As Leicester showed, and Brighton, they may only need one chance against us and if they score then it may be enough for all three points.
We kidded ourselves thinking that Spurs was a blip and Burnley was as it should be.
Spurs showed us the true gulf in class, and Burnley had their Christmas dinner too early and didn’t turn up.

Decent assessment mate and you're probably not far wrong, but we've been forced out wide in almost every game where we are expected to win (if that makes sense) - which makes me think it's more of his tactic than we think.

If it is the case, then it's painfully easy for opposition to force us into doing that and is probably welcomed - knowing we haven't got a barn door to aim for in the box
Agreed agreed. The good thing is Bernard and Richarlson (normally) are players that aren’t afraid to take players on naturally and that’s what we need in these games. I think that the best example of it was Bernard’s run past chillwell into the box. Leicester knew they were completely f**ked at that point but we spent the whole game lobbing the ball in and none of the forwards were expecting it (no excuse though to not be there)

Marco has 5 months and a transfer window to show us he is better than this. Alot on here will round behind him but what has he shown us to suggest he is the man to break the top 6? I haven`t seen it here OR at any other previous clubs!

Feels like we are wasting yet another season......

couldn't make the game today, too late a finish last night at work and too early a kick off...watched it on tv...can't we have a non of the above option for motm? can we bring back allardyce?
