Let's state some facts

DCL isn't good enough to start, sub at best.
Tosun is our best option up front but he isn't anywhere near our level either.
Walcott isn't good enough anymore
We need leadership on the pitch
We need a new rightback
We need a new striker

I agree, they are facts. January may help to sort them out or we just plod till summer then get them in. Think urgency is needed this January as it is becoming more and more obvious of our problems

Remember Leicester rested some starters for the beginning of this game so it's concerning how we have managed to get beaten today. From watching the game a few things struck me, some old and some new.

1. Too slow in transition from defensive to offensive. Not cute or clever enough.
2.Too many passes in oppositions half not enough penetration through the middle.
3.Play out wide too much without putting in enough dangerous crosses.
4.Not enough aggression.
5.Too many loose balls/mistakes.
6.Finishing poor.

We deffo look tired. Our youngsters aren't good enough to take the slack though. We are no longer looking strong for the 7th place best of the rest trophy. Perhaps most contentious we were better last year at this point.

You can't just say let's throw lots more money at it. I'm beginning to think it's a style problem. You need great players to play successfully in our style. I'm probably wrong though and maybe if we get better quality on the right side and a target man things will improve. I hope so cos it's all starting to get a bit turgid. Cmon Marco turn this around.

Think it'll be telling in the management of the club if we sign in January or not. If they're urgent about the signings we need then I'd say they're in the right mindset, but if we're waiting until summer and just acting like this season hasn't happened then it's not good enough

So he should, I hope the board put him under some pressure to improve... they wont though they will sympathise and let him get away with that rubbish week in week out. As we are seeing...
I'd rather he come out swinging and show some fight.

Managers don't get the luxury of feeling sorry for themselves.

We are in danger right now of falling into apathy.

When a 5-1 win means nothing and doesn't conjure up any long lasting joy because of later results then the fans will stop caring. Even when we were bad recently there was always that hope, hope we would catch X and get Europe or build on something and yet here we are. If we finish mid table then fair enough, we are a mid table team. However if we get there simply by going through the motions and not creating anything worthy of excitement then I worry for the future.

Even if we changed manager it wouldnt fix that issue, the fans would still be quick to turn, or to not care. That's when the club is lost, when the fans stop really investing in the games.

I live in Kilkenny (Ireland).

I went to my first Everton match in 1980 as a teenager.

I lived close to the great Peter Farrell and he regularly spoke to me of great times playing for the Blues. Even in bad times they played with passion.

I went regularly on the overnight B&I from Dublin and was there for the horrific derby thrashing.

Thank God I was also there for the Bayern game.

When I got married in 1992 I went regularly at great expense with my wife and daughter.

I have not gone for the past couple of years because of the total lack of passion in the team.

Today was symptomatic of an attitude that will not persuade me to go anytime soon.

Meanwhile I have to put up with sniggering of kopites and I have no response due to performances like that today.

I will always be royal blue but thise players are a disgrace to the RBJ.

Without trying to sound condescending or rub salt into the wounds that was far too comfortable for us second half. I usually fear the worst but at no point did I feel we were going to concede after we scored.

We were tragic as well for most of it but obviously the points are nice. Hope things get better for you soon
I only thought yous would score and that was based on those 1st 4mins of the 2nd half, while we were probably level 1st half as bad as each other, yous upped the game and we did nothing-its usually never any other way with us,when a team ups there game if even a little touch to the 1st half,we just dont cope

I said in December we are starting to look like side who can’t win. Burnley aside, which was a thrashing, we’ve just carried on against Brighton and Leicester. Looks like all we will beat are bottom 6 at best.

Yeah it was a horrible game pretty much from start to finish. The Albrighton sub seemed to offer us more of an attacking threat but it was still only an error that let us in. Don't know how slabhead missed that open goal though

While you were not great, you stuck to your plan and your substitution gave you impetus to play in our half. Once you scored we kind of knew it was game over. If you can’t hit the target how are you going to score - and we didn’t.
