From the first ten minutes it was obvious what we were going to get.

In terms of a result and entertainment= Nothing.

We need a manager with some enthusiasm
Manager isn't the issue. He hasn't even had a season yet, the players under him are. If you don't have a striker or an outlet for the attack then we're going to get nowhere! You tell me the last manager who actually looked upset when we lose like that.

I live in Kilkenny (Ireland).

I went to my first Everton match in 1980 as a teenager.

I lived close to the great Peter Farrell and he regularly spoke to me of great times playing for the Blues. Even in bad times they played with passion.

I went regularly on the overnight B&I from Dublin and was there for the horrific derby thrashing.

Thank God I was also there for the Bayern game.

When I got married in 1992 I went regularly at great expense with my wife and daughter.

I have not gone for the past couple of years because of the total lack of passion in the team.

Today was symptomatic of an attitude that will not persuade me to go anytime soon.

Meanwhile I have to put up with sniggering of kopites and I have no response due to performances like that today.

I will always be royal blue but thise players are a disgrace to the RBJ.
I love this post. However it always strikes me when teams run into poor form there's a very good chance it will be blamed on a lack of passion! Can someone define what this lack of passion is as they all look like they are trying to me. What characteristics can be identified when watching a team that lacks passion?

So the 50 million or so spent on Richarlison was just a waste of money then. Silva has introduced players costing about 110 million and we're no better off than before really.,

Gana and JJK the only players to come out of that with any credibility. We are so toothless up front it's unbelievable.

The players he's bought have been brilliant, but Richarlison is NOT a striker! Walcott doesn't even seem to want to play football now, we need a new right back, Gomes has been worn to the bone with the fixtures we've had so close together and I'll say it once more WE NEED A STRIKER

This is what you read on football forums up and down the country. We need a striker, and yet the RS have no "strikers" just 3 blokes who can score goals.

they also have a system that works and a song sheet that every single player know all the words too... plus a amanager who is capable of effecting games

we have neither

Bernard gets motm vote from me. Made a run in the second half which should have lead to equaliser only needed someone awake to move in and tap in but they were asleep.

Agree with a lot of that and you may be spot on about Theo: he looks like someone who doesn't really want to be out there.
