They’ve been poor - average since the new year not just since the restart, only reason they are where they are is their tremendous first half of the season.

If we defend deep we can easily contain Vardy and the only thing stopping us from beating these is ourselves.

Beat me to it! Wouldn't be the first time we were hospitable to a striker in search of a landmark goal.
Nope, we must have the record as people know its always v us that they score 1st goal for new team, 1st ever goal,1st goal for years, 50th goal,100th goal etc, its never ending

I think Carlo will carry on with the Diego Simeone playbook and continue the the transition of Everton into Atletico Madrid at least as long as we continue to have no midfield.

I think we will sit deep ( good against Vardy ) , let them have the ball and play on the break.

If we maintain our discipline I see another 1-0 win.

1pm Sat arvo here in NZ...the All Black coach has just been in Radio Sport saying he gave a small cheer when Everton managed the 0-0 and did their bit in holding up LFC’s title March. He said “ my son’s Liverpool, my daughter’s United ...and I support Everton’.
I wish Everton could grab some of the All Blacks’ winning mentality... but there you go.
Us vs Leicester? I am not confident...but hope we present in manner we might take pride in. Sadly, hope is not a great strategy.

No game this weekend, could they not have rearranged fixtures to get everything done asap; probably not feasible but this season can't end quickly enough.

My team would be.

Pickford
Coleman Keane Holgate Digne
Richarlison Gomes Iwobi Gordon
Kean Calvert-Lewin

I would give the 2 young boys a chance as I think 5-10 minute cameos don't really benefit anyone. I would play Richarlison on RW as he is our best option there and it allows me to get Kean in the team. I would play Iwobi in the centre as he is more robust than Davies and more athletic than Sigurdsson. Hopefully Sidibe, Mina and Delph will be fit for the bench.

We've been poor since returning, albeit two games. I wrote the first one off as "it's the first game back" but the midweek game against Brighton was horrific. If Brighton scored the penalty they'd have won, which sounds stupid but more of the point we never looked like scoring.

I can't see us winning at Goodison. In any other circumstance I'd take a draw but Chelsea are now only a point behind us.

By all accounts Leicester have been poor but they do have Vardy's pace up front and we could get caught out on the break. Can't see Ancelotti changing tact for this one, sit deep and hit them on the break. He may change personnel particularly in central midfield, would like to see Beningime given an outing instead of Davies. Another 3 points.

This is what i think. Same team as well after a week with no game.

Also can see Chelsea beating them sunday in the cup which continues their bad run....heavy legs and negativity creeping in

1-0 or 2-1 to us
