Good work out for us yesterday. They have some decent players and kept the ball well. I was impressed with them off the ball particularly. They pressed us really high up the pitch and put our defenders under pressure when they had the ball. Not many premier league teams do this but in Europe it will happen and we need to adapt.

I thought we were better 2nd half with a bit more mobility in midfield.

McGeady had a nightmare game. Naismith did well up front although we need someone else really.

I'm not too concerned by pre season results/performance. Its still about fitness for us. The players know the system and each other so come august 16th it will be business as usual.

Lukaku and Mirallas, two of our most important attacking players, havent even trained yet. Add in Gibson, Oviedo and Kone to the squad as we get into September and we are set with a stable and very good squad. We still need a winger and probably another striker. RM has said a winger is on his list and I think we may well see another striker in on loan.

Why are people saying McGeady hd a bad game? He was by far and away our best attacking outlet, and regularly got the better side of his man, and put in a dangerous looking ball. In fact, I can't remember a chance we created, that didn't come from him in some way.nSure, I think he is a cut below Mirallas, but we know Bobby likes to rotate the 3 behind the striker if he can, and McGeady will be an integral part of this rotation, and rightly so. Was impressed myself like.

I was thinking after seeing a little of his play for us and his more recent games for Ireland that he might bring some decent link play to the team to make up for when Pienaar is out. I´m not so sure now he can be this type of player so for me a Pienaar replacement/improvement or general playmaker is still almost as important as getting Rom was.

Sorry still not there
RN tradition, a particular on duty Seaman Regulator blows a whistle aka pipe, for various reasons throughout the ships day, one such occasion is for sleep/quietude for off-duty personnel, this is known as 'pipe-down'.
I imagine it was being used to tell whomsoever to stfu mate.
