Erm 'last season'? He was insisting on it all through the summer up until a few weeks back. And if it is the case then why is the door being left open for Yarmolenko?

Utter nonsense. He had all summer to sign that player and there's going to be a lot of frustration if last season's failure to break through stubborn defences happens again this season.

'Player could fit in from a technical point of view but not a physical one' ?! He then says it's ok though because we have Osman and Pienaar two dimunitive often injured over 30s. If they are physical enough I dread to think what player he was targeting. Why can't he just say we didn't get our man, instead of this spin saying we didn't need one really but yet we still had a go for Yarmolenko.
