If an Everton win in a meaningless game will help that fraud stay in the job then I do not want an Everton win

He should be long gone and it should be a caretaker playing a few young lads with a new spirit of optimism at the club

Yep, same.

You'd think/hope that this game really doesn't matter and his job isn't resting on it anyway, as it is absolutely pointless and the decision to get rid should have been made long before it. But if for some reason his job does rest on the result, then it's a case of short term pain for long term gain.

I hope we don't boo the team today, I want Martinez sacked, I hoped he would be gone by now. There may well be a couple of debutants playing today. A couple of posters have been on the forum about the disappointment their lads feel in going to Goodison with the terrible atmosphere and football on show.
Imagine working as hard as the young players have done, getting your dream debut and finding your team booed by your own fans.
I like all the rest fear a win here today and a good performance will be ceased on by Martinez but I don't care about him desperately clinging on to a job which is too big for him. He will still be sacked.
COYB.

Is this for real?

I think that sometimes the ineffectiveness of the current manager erodes the common sense of even the most hardened supporter.
None of us want to lose, even if the game has no or very little meaning.
Wining is always good for the soul.

That's the only reason he might play them. To take the pressure off himself. Has hardly brought anyone through from the academy in 3 years

What if winning isn't good for the club

You can't always think short term

Is this for real?

This is the extreme but board must look in the mirror. Theyve created this kind of frustration level. You could say they are looking at the bigger picture mate. I dont wish for Everton loss ever. But Im gutted that atm our board looks like gutless imp.

Ive hoped to hear the words...nothing. ...

It's extremely important that today we'll see big demonstrations

I'm sure that Mr Moshiri can see the bigger picture mate.

I think it pretty poor that people could want EFC to lose.

No matter what you've got to want Everton to win.

Other issues can be resolved after the fact. Surely?
Not necessarily. The season is done, a loss today would make his position untenable.

Sometimes you have to take a hit for the good of the club. I want this current bout of pressure to not only rid us of Martinez, but Kenwright too.

we keep getting told "don't worry lads, he's definitely a goner" yet he's still here. I can't see us sacking him after a win. the majority want him out as soon as possible and the majority's fear is that he will be given the start of next season. can we honestly put faith in the board to bin him if we win the remaining three games of the season?

there will always be those who try and draw comparisons between fergie (united) and kendall mk 1 when they were almost removed by fan discontent but fergie and kendall looked to improve their weaknesses. bobby has gone on record saying he is more concerned about making our strengths stronger and is not fussed about our weaknesses. He has called out leicester, on the brink of winning the premier league for being flawed as they rely on vardy and mahrez. IMO Leicester have had 11 plus players to rely on all season. Show me who we have been able to rely on bobby?

i always want everton to win but i now fear an everton win.

You haven't answered it very well

You've thrown up some straw man argument but haven't explained how beating Bournemouth will help Everton in the long term vs losing to them

In your opinion!

I could see the agitators kicking off demanding the manager sacked at the drop of the hat using your argumentation.

I think you looking back stating you wanted Everton beaten will be highly embarrassing for you in due course.

I urge you to reconsider.
