Does any one know if you can use a £15 STH for this game it's cat c. It says use can use this voucher for "selected games" but I've not seen one game this season that has been selected for this. Has anyone else. Haven't decided if I can be arsed phoning just that a friend was thinking of going today but will only pay the discount price. Ta

Haha. It's a dead rubber mate

Stop looking for the moral high ground

I said I want Everton to lose if a win means Martinez stays

There's a subtle difference that eludes your understanding but I stand by it all the same

So you wouldn't swap 1 Everton loss in a meaningless game for the losses that would inevitably come as a result of an extended tenure for Martinez

Fair enough. Some people have bigger ambitions for this club than having 6 pointers with Bournemouth for the bragging rights of 11th place

I'm adding this into the vaults.

My ambitions for EFC. Is for them to win everything. Every game. Every trophy.

Your ambitions. Appear very contrary to mine.

I refuse to lower my standards any time soon.

Despite all the doom and gloom I feel a good win today with some good solid performances from the youth players. A clean sheet for Tim and an announcement on Martinez after the match......we can all dream!!!!

Anyone up for a sweep-stake regarding the attendance today? Now it may just be the usual talk, but there's a lot of talk of people not going.

I myself am not entirely sure if I can be bothered. Most will obviously reluctantly go due to the routine and our unfortunate unrelenting devotion.

Yet, a low attendance could be a huge aspect in swaying the board as money talks. I'd like to see season ticket renewal numbers as well!

That's the only reason he might play them. To take the pressure off himself. Has hardly brought anyone through from the academy in 3 years

I think that is exactly what he might do. If he was to bring on a couple of youngsters who perform well then he will spout about our future. How he was nurtured talent and we are in a phenomenal moment going forward; silverware, Championships League tec.

I've got a spare lounge ticket today and I can't even give it away.
Thinking of not bothering myself as I am not looking forward to this one bit.

No doubt.

Appreciate the view that sometimes you need to crack an egg, to make an omelette though.

I refuse to lower my standards any time soon.

My ambitions are for Everton to return to success.

If that takes losing to Bournemouth then that's what it takes

Stop your silly vaulting nonsense

What part of it are you going to vault me on

The fact that this manager has gotten it so wrong he's made Evertonians want to lose meaningless games to get rid of him

You keep pulling out the straw man argument

You sound like a 15 yr old

Let's take a moment to remind ourselves that this is a 22 year old professional footballer, playing at the top level.

Let's take a moment to remind ourselves that this is a 22 year old playing in front of 40,000 people who support the club he grew up with, who love the club that he loves and who boo and groan at him every time he misplaces the ball or has nobody to pass to so has to pass it backwards (a direct result of Martinez's tactics).

I think you'd feel a little self-conscious too.

Let's not forget Wayne "I left because the club was doing my head in" Rooney.

Looking forward to us playing 2 defensive midfielders...

at home...

against Bournemouth

<sobs>

...we weren't too shabby with Reid and Bracewell as two defensive central midfielders. Personally, i don't mind that as long as the shape and balance of the rest of the team is right.

Is it strange that as an American I read these previews to not only getting my blood pumping for the game at hand (more difficult these last few weeks) but to see what stereotypes surround the opposing team and their city?
