Can't believe you lot have only noticed this Milan kid now.

About 17 years ago I was sitting in a Milan cafe drinking Espresso when I noticed a pregnant woman who was in discomfort. You could see the baby kicking, it was then I turned to Paulo and said " He will be a top player that baby "
Mate. I was analysing his father's sperm long before that. I remember calling Walter smith and saying 'Walter! If one of these wee nuggets hits the egg we've got ourselves the new Michael Branch' needless to say he demanded a batch be sent to him in the post but I never did hear back from him. Scouting has changed so much since then. Roberto would be all over that.

Just read this over at SportWitness, we are signing all the wingers in January and Selling Mirallas;

Indulge us if you will, but perusing Everton's scouting recently it would be easy to come to the conclusion the club are looking for a flexible wide player.

Last night Everton
watched Rennes take on Marseille and whilst highly rated 23 year old winger Paul-Georges Ntep didn't play through injury, 18 year old talented winger Ousmane Dembele did and was the French club's best performer.

Over the past few weeks Everton have also watched Bordeaux twice, with the English media thinking 25 year old Henri Saivet was a target and us presenting 22 year old Diego Rolan as another option. Both can play wide.

Everton have also scouted Benfica in recent weeks, the Portuguese club have 19 year old talented winger Gonçalo Guedes and the rather better known Nico Gaitan.

Spain's Villarreal have been another recent destination and Everton watched the match against Celta Vigo, with 19 year old Matías Nahuel and 20 year old Samu Castillejo both playing.

On the whole the players are young, would be available for a reasonable price, and are very flexible in their position. They can play on either wing or through the middle. Just like a certain Kevin Mirallas.

Mirallas has been linked with moves to clubs in Spain, Italy and France. Due to several reasons he's only started one Premier League game so far this season, and that was back in August.

Mirallas will be incredibly eager to play for Belgium at Euro 2016 and as it stands he's going to face a struggle getting into the squad. A January exit has already been floated and as much as Everton can put their foot down and say he's not going anywhere, a frustrated and unhappy player isn't going to be what Roberto Martinez wants around the place, and Mirallas has already shown how his frustration can show on the pitch.

It would be easy to conclude from Everton's pre January scouting that young flexible wide players are a target, and replacing 28 year old Mirallas with a talented prospect could be a very wise move indeed.

There's lot of factors ahead of any potential move but it would be no surprise to see a young player in the mould mentioned above arrive at Everton in January or next summer. The club may have already found him.

Andre Gray. After a keeper it would be worth blowing our entire remaining budget on him. Top top finisher. I'd get rid of Mirrallas in an instant if necessary.
