Everton Striker Thread

After watching Bournemouth v Watford just now, Callum Wilson is surely a striker who would take the chances we need in CF with crosses from Bernard or whomever else is the flavor of the day on the outside. I’d put money on if Wilson had been on pitch in Blue when Bernard placed that ball vs Leicester, he would have been there no doubt. He is smart and plays with really great awareness. Unfortunate that it’s not likely less than £45m will touch him.

Hopefully someone I´ve never heard of for a relative bargain who goes onto be about 10 times what we paid for him. Not asking for a lot.
King from Bournemouth.
Or

Ishmael the Gypsy, fed from the wings by Bernard and Lookman, with a midfield 3 of tony kay, skinner normanton and dave mackay, all infront of a back 4 of Wilson, Labone, Ratcliffe and Parker
Neville Southall in the sticks obvs
Managed by Harry Catterick.
Fitness courtesy of Ainsdale sand hills and a big stick
Sports medicine's provided by the icy cold magic sponge carried in a galvinised bucket.
Nutrition a fish and chip supper from Alf Tuppers chippy

I don't watch the u23's but does anyone know who plays up front for the younger teams, do we have any strikers coming through. You see a lot of teams with youngsters on the bench. I was amazed Tuesday that we have Baines Mina and Coleman on the bench. Why is this? Three defenders for god sake, do we have a young lad chomping to get in the first team squad?

id like us to check out Haller. I have no idea if he’s good enough for the prem, but Ive had him in the back of my mind since we were linked with him(when at utrecht(?)), and every time I google him he seems to have scored more goals and made more assists. I think he’s currently close to 10goals and 10assists in Germany already. According to transfermarkt he’s worth 30+millions now, which seems steep, but he might be worth it.

I really like Wilson, but we simply can't afford to spend that kind of money on a player who is better than what we have, but won't transform us. We either need to spend £50-£60m on a young, up and coming Wunderkind, or get a loan in or swap deal for Tosun.

Not really.

Always good to see the millions spent at the Academy are not wasted.

If rumours are true, though they rarely are Timo Werner is linked with a move to Everton for a cut price £36m. Looking at video of his goals/assists last season (with Lookman linking up well with him while he was loaned the Lipzig)we'd be mad to not be interested. Could be what we are looking for to replace Lukaku .

Bit old now, but hes scored in a world cup final so he cant be too shabby

Surely questions must also be asked of our coaching of forwards. Yes aptitude and natural flair are very important but if the coaching isn’t helping players progress as well then that must be the coaches fault. As much as I love Big Dunc he has been our forwards coach for the last 3-4 years and none of our forwards have progressed in that time.

Defoe short term is a no brainer for me - one chance one goal player. Werner or Andrea bellotti in the summer or now as well please.
