Everton Sign Theo Walcott

I just hope this means that we are going to attack West Brom, time will tell. A combination of Tosun and Walcott just might be enough to get us top 8. He won't make up for the chronic shortage of a left back and another centre half.

In better times....

A nicely captured picture of both a snake and a snake oil salesman.

It will be interesting to see how Allerdyce sets us up on Saturday with two home debuts. Things are looking up, good signing at the right price.
Pleeeease can we have a new LB now.

great signing
nice competition for places on the wing and up top. experienced , good pro , has pace , knows where the back of the net is.

id be tempted to play him in a top 2 though , at least until coleman is back. hes not great at tracking back and this midfield and defence at the minute demands that.

I'm also still worried about our teams lack of ability playing forward leaves our attackers redundant regardless of who they are.
a box to box midfielder and a left back is still needed imo.

“The Club has won trophies but I want them to win trophies now. The manager is very hungry and it’s just what I need. I’ve had a couple of chats with him and straightaway I felt that hunger and that desire that he wanted from me. I need that and I wanted that."

You don't say..
I've been starving for years.

One of our best signings in recent times....he gives us pace, experience, quality & goals....

We are beginning to look a better team already so let's hope we can get back to winning ways starting this Saturday against Wba....

Good luck with Walcott lads.

He's probably gets more crap thrown his way than he deserves. But he's still got 3 yrs minimum left in the tank and if Sam gets the best out of him he could chip in with 10+ goals a season which is good from the wings.
Don't underestimate his link up with a support striker either as he racks up a good level of assists.
Hope he does well.
Decent player and decent bloke.

I think he'll do fine If he's not crocked for long period/s at any point/s and if we'd have brought in more proven premier league players of his calibre in the summer we'd be doing just fine now.
