Barry is the difference, IMO. I hope that's the main lesson McCarthy is taking in from partnering him. Get right into the ref and and tell him what just happened. Everton have been soft as ****e for too long. Moyes had them like a polite religious order on the pitch.

Mentioned this to my Kopite brother-in-law and even he said Jim Boardman was a bellend. Got to hand it to these Kopite hacks, they never miss an opportunity to spout sh!te and bile, but they're not bitter like. Where was Boardman's article when Suarez put Mirallas out injured for 2 months last season. Suarez gets a scratch on his knee, still finished the game and will be fit to play in Liverpool's next game, but the propaganda machine kicks in with how Everton attempted to butcher Suarez's leg. Absolute whoppers
