Everton set out to get Luis Suarez

In retrospect, the 'tackle' was boss. However, I'd have been livid if he'd been sent off, and that lot went on to take the 3 point.

Thank goodness for a bit of perspectve and commonsense.

Yes, it is funny as anything that Kev broke the little barsteward.

But we were 2-1 behind at the time (or level, I can't remember) and what he did was ridiculously irresponsible as we cuild, indeed should, have been down to ten men.

I am sure Roberto gas torn a strip off've hime in private.

As it stands Kev, a mild mannered man on the pitch normally, has now marked his own card and refs will be looking closely at him.

And you can bet your life the next half dubious challenge he makes will see him walking and the press will be screaming "Justice served" from the rooftops.

We are all laughing now but this moment of (delightful) madness will come back to bite us on the arse.

I dont buy that. It was a poor challenge under normal circumstances and, yes, it could have been disastrous. But it was part and parcel of our overall more aggressive approach (mentally and physically) that served us well in that game. You cant divorce the two so easily. Let's put it this way: if we have more of this attitude we'll pick up more points than if we don't retain it (and if that means picking up cards and reds along the way then we'll have to live with it).

And I dont think KM will face scrutiny from now on. He'll pick up a yellow here and there, but his game, as you say, doesn't warrant a red from any ref. That Suarez thing was a one off. He might be in danger of picking up a couple of yellows for stupid non-malicious acts, but I'd expect Martinez to intervene after the serving of one yellow and caution him or take him off. In any case, in a week the PL will have moved on and the Mirallas business will be forgotten by the officials along with all the others they forget about.

How dare we try and hurt Saurez, how very dare us. Bloody disgraceful behaviour from Kevin the animal.

Apparently Saurez is recuperating by singing ballads to orphans with Bono. All the children have been crying all weekend and have been wetting the bed since they saw this brutal attack on Luis "Christ" Saurez.

Even the pope broke down in tears during Sunday service and cried " why?? Why hurt our Saurez, he is pure and good and we will pray that God strikes down this red devil!! "

The Popes an Argie mate, He thinks Suarez is a C**t.

I kind of agree with you Dave, and I wouldn't of dome so last year. difference now is, we have more depth to cover Miarllas et al missing a game or two through suspensions. The game is played on a fine line, the closer you get to it, the more effective you can be, but its a risky game.

However, if he keeps on doing it, but learns to pass a ball better, they'll just label it as a Mirallas tackle, and shrug their shoulders.

Yeah, and it's those margins that make the difference points wise. Our players are already getting cards in abundance in any case. We may as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb. Controlled aggression throughout the team is what we're looking for.

They're embarrassing.

At worst it was retribution for what Suarez did last year, but of course acknowledging that wouldn't fit with their current 'Suarez is a victim' line. They've been putting in the PR groundwork for when their superstar gets off for a while now, and will doubtless point to the unfair treatment he receives as the reason why he would consider moving to a smaller club such as Real Madrid.

Little feuds between individual players develop all the time, although I'm sure they've conveniently forgotten Xabi Alonso's constant attempts at doing Lampard after the challenge which broke the beardy weirdo's ankle.

Post a tweet earlier saying "I like reading the Mirror, but that article from @JimBoardman is absolutely pathetic piece of journalism. Smacks of bitterness..funny though"

... and he favourited it

Spot on that.

They're struggling to come to terms with the way the match unfolded and the breathtaking ferociousnss of our attacking game. It's brilliant hearing their anguish. They're entangled in a razor-wire fence - the more they struggle, the more they get cut up.

I cant wait to see them slip down the table on the way into Christmas. I firmly believe their season is going to go pop fairly soon, and the recriminations are going to be spectacular. Just sit back and watch it all predictably unravel for them.

There is a massive amount of truth in this. The 'RAWK' excuse for us finishing above them was because Brenda's been finding his feet and they're getting used to a new style. Roberto takes over and 12 games later we're playing them off the park.

That's the thing though Dave. It wasn't controlled aggression, it was reckless. We got away with it, so I don't give a toss, but we/kev were fortunate.

He won't put another tackle in all season I expect.
