You’d ignore him openly cheating us out if £15 mil for him to come back and show us how crap he is?!!! Wow

Not to mention the fact that he would never ever consider us either
Why would he comeback to a club who let Koeman try and ruin him.
He has joined a long list of homegrown players that our fans live to hate, no wonder the next batch won’t sign contracts.
Osman, Hibbert, Davies, Barkley, Jeffers, Baxter to name a few.

Longstaff is better than Davies chief.

Dont go writing these types of players off before a ball has been kicked - people slated Gray and claimed he was all hype, never kicked on etc.
Longstaff would never sign on less than a 3 year deal at his age. He’d also fleece us out of far more in signing fees and wages than he’s worth because we got him on a free. Fast forward two of those years (maximum) and you’re on here cryarsing and listing his name amongst the deadwood we need to get rid of.

If we can’t spend much and we need to fill the squad I’d rather we used academy players and/or took wild punts on no-namers from Scandi leagues, the SPL, etc that, at the very least, we could sell on for a small profit if they turned out dump. The “PL experience” approach has yielded next to nothing for us over the last few years and now is the time to knock it on the head.

We need a squad mate - we moan when we have 2 goalkeepers on the bench every week then moan when we try sign players on the cheap because FFP has hamstrung us.

What do the fans want exactly? Signing players with magic beans?

But the issue has been buying over priced flops for that squad...or buying bang average. Needs to just be right regardless of money.

Longstaff's 24 and isn't a 1st team player for one of the worst sides in the league. Getting him in just to fill the squad on the cheap is in the same league as Delph, Cleverly, Alcaraz, etc...they just clog the side for years having a couple of decent games filling in for injuries while being awful for the most part.

Would rather throw Davies another 3 year deal if we're just looking for fillers.

We have to build by signing terrible players stuck on contracts?

We shouldn't be signing ANYONE if they don't improve the squad.

That longstaff kid doesn't even remotely improve the squad

100%.

Just because Tapas Baps can't get a tune out of what he's got, shouldn't mean we just punt on poor players for worse teams.

I don’t know enough about him to know. If he would improve us or not, but compared to Delph or Gabamin, surely he would make an difference through availability to play?

Exactly and which is what we need to stop recent situations of having 2 goalies and a bunch of kids on the bench which the same suspects moaning now moan "ffs everton state of dat bench".

the same bedwetters clogging up every thread lol

Your so dumb it's unreal.

Look at what your saying, we cannot sign players due to FFP and our inability to shift players on contracts no other team are prepared to pay, your spot on... So your logic is then go and spend more wages/resources on more players that no other teams would likely take off our hand just because they are free and better than Davies.

So you would rather 2 goalies on the bench than sign Longstaff on a free who could come in on sensible wages and be a reliable squad player?

Lay off the crack lad.

I'd rather have no one on the bench than longstaff or just some kid from the ressies, as you know they won't be claiming millions from us in the process of their contract. Something you are literally incapable of processing throufg that skull of yours
