FTY, is this true about De Guzman and McCarthy being on talks? That would be beyond awesome. Soldado I'm keeping as a pipe dream for now but that would be exciting if true.

Sheeds apparently said we're in talks with de Guzman, although he didn't know how advanced they were. Can't find that post atm though.

De Guzman I think sheeds mentioned but I haven't seen him actually post it. He's pretty accurate when it comes to this sort of thing, terrible when it comes to betting on where Martinez will end up haha.

Andy Carroll can be a very useful player, its also good to have options instead of tippy tappy football. However he costs far too much to be just an option.

Signings like Moses and McCarthy say that Martinez is willing to buy potential from lower/lesser leagues. If that's the case, Will Hughes of Derby is a shout - really clever player, but he's had enough press to suggest he'll cost a bit. He's also got a touch of the albino about him, which is a concern.
There's also Birmingham's Nathan Redmond, who looks a promising winger - very quick and skillful in an Aaron Lennon sort of way. Probably cost a lot less than Tom Ince, who's another I wouldn't mind.
I'd be really happy if we brought in a top striker and added two young players with potential. A top forward is the only glaring absence in an otherwise very good starting eleven.

Mucha proved he should be a first teamer. I would have liked him to stay until Howard left, but he had his international place to think of
