assuming fellaini leaves for the reputed 24 million and theirs a influx of 10 from the tv deals as well as a few mill hear and their plus what we can get for anichebe, heitinga, howards, naismith (say 10 mill max for them all) etc, using the surplus tv money and loss of some big earners to fund the new boys and move rooney to around 125-140k per week

1) Too many Wigan players, why are people getting so caught up on Wigan player?!
2) I doubt we'll get back in for Fer after January.
3) Sevilla are probably under less pressure to sell players after Navas leaving so I can't see us getting Negrado, also considering West Ham were rejected a £14.5m bid.
4) Andy Carrolll... is this a wind up?! We won't be playing 'give it to Jags to hoof it up the pitch' football any more!

How can you be so sure?

Carroll is a decent player with obvious similarities to big Dunc. The entire course of his Liverpool career as been a total mess-up, from purchase price to Brent publically stating he will never be part of the first team. He'd probably have done well for us in the Moyes era, but now where in the Martinez era, where we have 93% possession and the ball never once leaves the ground, just slides across the turf like lotion on a hot, tanned body in the Costa del Sol.

Alcaraz as a free stopgap for the departing Heitinga isn't so bad a buy. I think for the likely prices of McManaman and McCarthy we can find better elsewhere.

what GOT law am i breaking?

'Being the ref'.

'Being The Ref'
Attempting to get another user banned by posting things such as "abuse! ban him!" is totally unacceptable, and will not be tolerated on this forum. This is basically the internet equivalent of a footballer waving the imaginary yellow card at a referee, and is completely unhelpful. If you see a post that you believe is in violation of the forum's Rules and Guidelines or Terms of Service, it would be highly appreciated if you could use the "Report to Moderator" function to bring it to our attention.

I would love us to buy Dries Mertens, has been seriously prolific for PSV and is bessies with Super Kev.

If Heitinga goes, I'd like to see Lescott back (a reverse of the transfers from a few years back). Also think Sean Morisson from reading would be a good young CB for cover... someone that could be a long term partner for Duffy if he declares for Ireland.

If Fellaini goes then I would consider making a move for James McCarthy... but not at the extortionate prices being mooted. Yohann Cabaye would be deadly also but somehow I doubt that could ever happen.

to be honest it all depends on how much money we have to spend... but i'd expect us to be bringing in a few unknown continental players...

I hope Martinez brings atleast 3 new faces in.

One to take Heitingas position
One to take creative role in the middle
One profilic forward, someone who tickles our sacks in a nice way. Someone like Soldado

I can't imagine going for Carroll even if we could afford him. Doesn't really fit into the keeping possession, patient buildup kind of style.

We couldn't afford Soldado. But i'd like to see Mirallas up front with another striker and right mid brought in.
