Why? It's just a process. If they get the results they expect, then fine. If it is the other way the question is how should we respond?

I've run a few consultations and the number one rule is: only run a consultation when you know in advance what the responses will be.

Here's a question; do you think the results would be more favourable if the survey was sent out 1. After a 1-1 bore draw against relegation candidates Swansea or 2. After everyone has watched all The Dixies promotional vid guff?

All about timing. Very shrewd this by Everton. Oh and absolute mana from heaven, a S*n journalist has rallied against it, which will only encourage people to gleefully stick one to them with more zeroes.

But why do we need this process? All I can see is that it embarrasses Alladyce. If that's the reason then it's a bit of a weird way to behave. The fans on the whole want Alladcye out don't they? Appears to me that this is one thing we are mostly all united on for once. The board must know this unless they are idiots.

Why? They might not publish the results. Dont't forget, they also included a section on the fans themselves AND senior management (which would be Elstone / Walsh). People want engagement until they don't want engagement.....

Just step back. Everton have just, to absolutely no fanfare or, crucially, advanced warning, sent out a survey to which they could confidently predict the key answers.
You've got Allardyce going unchallenged every week with his 'minority' comments about fan unrest and Everton could be about to call his bluff very publicly.

It's a masterstroke.

I found the whole thing pretty bizzare! What club asks there fans by committee! How about the hierarchy lead the club definativly and properly and provide direction, funding and a manager that knows what they are doing! But to ask the fans for me that's a new one!!! I think it sums this tin pot club up!

If you are intending to make a major change, you consult your key stakeholders. We could be about to get rid of the CEO, Director of Football, Manager and all of his coaching staff. One last check that this will be happily recieved by your season ticket holders is very well advised.

Love the irony on the forum atm, that the ones really upset about this survey, seem to be very infrequent posters, ones who usually stick to certain threads, or people who have recently joined, all agreeing with a s*n journalist...
