Everton embroiled in bitter contract dispute with Ronald Koeman and Netherlands

No way we will get top managers without giving them top line contracts, especially if they are with other clubs when we approach them.

The problem isn't the contract, it's the choice of manager.

This is true however it seems once Koeman knew he was getting paid regardless of how well we play no wonder he didnt care, its a worry because if we are also giving players contracts equally as stupid we are doing to be in a massive hole very soon.
For me this is another example of how badly run we are, and we think we are going to be able to get a new stadium sorted with ease, imagine the amount of contracts and deals that go along with that, no chance, were a joke

Wait what? We are paying him cos Holland aren’t paying him enough? How does that even work

Don't follow managerial shenanigans of other clubs, but is this just us, or is this the norm for the corpulent trough that this league now is? Don't get me wrong, we can be utterly inept over all sorts, but are these reward heavy contracts common for Premier League appointments?

Any money paid to him by Holland should be diverted back to Everton.
It is. We only pay the difference.

Like another poster said, our issue is selecting the wrong guy. The deal we signed was normal, like every other manager signs. We didn't miswrite a contract for heavens sake.
