Everton embroiled in bitter contract dispute with Ronald Koeman and Netherlands

I hate Koeman too but this is on the club. They gave him and Martinez their contracts, not going to blame them for sticking to it

Not even close.

Mike Walker and Roberto Martinez were much worse.
Koeman spent over 150m to land us in 17th with zero cub runs and an embarrassing Europa display, fail to see how he was better than RM. RM crashed and burned in the end but had a few cup runs at least

Because we agreed to do so in his contract with us and Koeman's agent let the Dutch FA know. All above board.

Proper amateurs us.

All he had to do is put an ad in the classifieds saying manager for hire, special knock down price as Everton will pay the remainder of 6 million deal and watch the bids flood in: PSV would have put in a £1 a week offer, Ajax £2 and the auction was eventually won by the Dutch FA who really showed they wanted him by offering £600 a week.

...5th with a CL qualifying total.

Allardyce, Koeman and Moyes have been three of the worst managers we've ever had. Martinez is the last one we've had since HK was manager to even approach the game with football in mind.

You cant mention Moyes in the same sentence as Koeman and Martinez.

He did far better than both of them combined and took over a very different club than either of them.

Moyes is without question our best manager since HK, without question.

Why? Because he stayed here 11 years boring the tits off us all?

he was a dullard and most wanted the beaut gone at the end. He was there to serve a purpose, he did that but stayed on 8 years too long.

not sure what people expect, of course a manger is going to have some protections in the event they are let loose from a multi-year contract

Not even close.

Not for me. One was out of his depth and the other fell on his own sword. Both still added to the club in some ways.

Walker did keep us up, brought in Big Dunc, and that squad did win our last trophy, Martinez built a squad of gifted young talent, shouldve got us champions league, and some great games with some of the best football we've played for decades.

Koeman spunked £200mill up the wall, took us backwards, played some shocking football, sold our best players, had us teetering a relegation dog fight, and pocketted millions for doing so.

Nope. He's my number one most hated manager.

Complaining about Moyes now, Dave. Why don't you apply to be the club manager and show them all how to do it, lets see your ideas or get in touch with Moshi and get a job as CEO and show him how to run the club. Would make a change from all the negative waves.

Notice always goes back to RM's first season, what about going back to Howies spells, or Harry's, or is that too far back??????????

...as if Moyes is above criticism as an Everton manager. Pure revisionism. He was 'kin dire.
