Imo the way Dutch league regressed In quality it's no suprise they won it as they had the strongest team.

Ajax and Fe are much better now, I doubt AZ will do as well
You could well be right about the dutch league.
I just think walsh was given a good shot as DoF but last season was one of the most disheartening I've ever seen, even the crap teams of the 90's seemed to want to win or even play for Everton. He failed at the job asked of him so it's time to bring someone else in.
Sure the dutch league is not all that but Brands has a good CV and is worth a shot.
Seems like a straight forward decision to me and I'm glad the club have made it quickly

He is an actual DOF and not a wannabe, so that is the biggest plus in all of this.
Of course, that does not mean we will instantly become Barca, so it would be wise to keep a lid on expectations.
It's a step in the right direction, but there's an awful lot of work to do.
Manager appointment next.
Hopefully, everyone's roles will be clearly defined.

Regardless of people's feelings on Moshiri, the last two days show that he certainly isn't asleep at the wheel and also that he is not just happy to sail along in the Premier league and pocket TV money as some have claimed. Although we still wait for a managerial appointment, which Brands will likely have a large role in, and we have a shortened transfer window to navigate through; Moshiri has shown that a dismal season like what we've just witnessed won't do.

Hopefully we have a good summer window, get a manager in that we can back and hear more about the stadium progression and we should be back on track.

At least Morshiri doesn’t mess about, his moved quickly by binning BFS and getting a new DoF.

All on the same day

Except we have known they were going to happen for months. Especially brands. If he had announced a manager today, I’d be more impressed.

Yesterday, the CEO fired. This morning, the manager fired. This afternoon, a DOF hired. Tomorrow morning, a manager hired? Tomorrow afternoon, our first signing?

Regardless, great start to the offseason, it both allays the fears some of us had that they were going to stick with the old staff, and shows that all of the bedwetters were once again, shockingly, wrong. Its been painfully obvious for some time that BFS was getting fired and Brands was coming in.
