Think yesterday was the first time we actually got to see a replay after they'd made the decision. Seeing how wrong they got it, after the fact, didn't help the refs/VAR case.

Reckon we’ll get fined for that.

I really don't understand the secrecy VAR cloaks itself in. Fans at the ground aren't allowed to even see the calls they make, nobody can hear the deliberations, nobody knows the process they go through in making a decision, often times you aren't even sure whats being checked. It works differently to assisted refereeing in any other sport.

That replay is what made the fans stay the 5-10 minutes at the end and give the officials dogs abuse, we went absolutely banzai after that happened and I’m very glad none of the cameras were pointing at me at that moment! We’ll get fined for sure.

Still is the beautiful game if you support a club that makes the league plenty of money. Must be great going into a game knowing that no matter what happens you’ll get leniency from the officials.

Genuinely was looking forward to seeing a more fair accurate Premier League.

It has just been used as a tool to rid the officials of any blame during a match in which they look for reasons to disallow a goal if its against certain teams.

VAR is not the problem, its the people running the league, the people running the referee's committee & the referee's themselves

They never ever give pens for stuff like that.

They don't but when they review by VAR, there is a chicken and egg factor. Sigi wouldnt be on his a*se in front of goal without the blatent foul at that point VAR should be saying - hang on a sec, if we cant allow the goal because he is on the ground, we have to award the pen

I for one am happy that VAR was brought in this season. Its helped bring attention to and thus expose the levels of incompetence and/or corruption in the game. Even people who'd normally just shrug off a bad decision and defend the refs are stating to see this now.
