….i thought Patterson was poor again against Forest. I promise, no agenda here, he’s a wingers dream. I don’t think Dibling helped as he struggled to go with runners but I wouldn’t be surprised if Moyes looks for an alternative RB in this game. Brentford are strong down their left flank.

RB could actually be an informative selection, especially if Keane remains unavailable. If Patterson is overlooked, it’s very bleak for him but if Moyes selects him then maybe he thinks he’s not a liability.
The right back position at Everton needs sorting out in the January window, we just don’t have anyone who has staked a claim to play there permanently, the best is James Garner but I, personally, wouldn’t move him from centre midfield, O’Brien has made a claim as a centre back and I would play him every time instead of Keane, when Keane plays it alters the whole structure of how we play, deep and far too deep, O’Brien, not my favourite player but he looks far better at centre back rather than full back.

I thought Patterson performance was superb.

It was like the second coming of Christ it was that good.

A really big chance over the next two home games to set ourselves up for a European push. 6 points gets us right in the mix.

Funnily enough, I’d love a pop at that Conference league. I think Europa would be too much for us, and we’d have a go at winning the Intertoto one. I think the final is in Ireland too?

….none of us gave much of a chance at Forest, these games are so unpredictable we shouldn’t get ahead of ourselves.

Lot of things in our favour for this game, which is why I won't be surprised if we don't win. Don't tend to do the business when there are expectations (see the optimism before Newcastle game for a recent example). Not that the same will happen but this will be a tough slog of a game imo.

We obviously need to start fast and take advantage of the gap in preparation.
