A start of a new year, and hopefully a continuation of Barry's 'goal streak'. Moyes being coy in relation to the injury situation means nobody really knows what team he'll put out, so we'll just have to wait and see. Maybe we'll see our new signing(s) play, or maybe not.

We could do with improving our home form which is not exactly stella, 4 wins out of nine. Brentford meanwhile, have won just two away, losing nine, so we should really be crushing them. It's going to be a cold one so wrap up warm. Let's hope there's no Christmas hangover. I'll go for 4-0, UTFT.

Bit random but does anyone drive to Aigburth after the game? Or anyone have a rough idea how long it takes? I’ve heard it’s a bit of nightmare. I don’t need a lift or anything 😂 my daughter wants picking up.

good chance we can go 5th with a win. chelsea away to city, united away in form leeds and calvert lewin (will be a bear pit there) and sunderland away to spurs

then playing wolves three days later and an fa cup break means we could still be there coming late into jan

i think tfg could be cautious with funds because relegation isnt a threat, but being in that position could trigger them to release some serious funds to go and get europe

Didn't jink it lad..... This will be difficult game, super organized team, pace and I would say they spend horrific amounts of time practicing set pieces. They have so many corner routines.

Wolves won't be that easy either. They seem to have just thrown the shackles off now that they look certs to go down. They battered united in the second half last night.

And it goes without saying they are due a win.

I think she would be better making her way to L1 and taking tge 500 or 82.

The drive from HD is a nightmare.

Or even Central and hop a train to Aigburth.

(Moorfields is probably a no hoper after a home game)

Brentford similar team to us

At times good defensively but also at times they seem to have trouble scoring goals

I’m hoping this will be similar to the Fulham / Forest home game and we win 2-0 or 3-0

Thiago hasn’t scored in a few games now so he is out of form
