It's not excuses, it's reality.Excuses already.
Sunderland are threadbare if any club are. It's not excuses, it's reality.
Yes, in normal circumstances this is exactly the type of game we should expect to win. However, we in a busy period of games, with a threadbare squad. Anything can happen in a game, other players can get injured or sent of or a key decision goes the wrong way. Sunderland aren't a L2 team that we should dispatch regardless of the circumstances, they have a decent team and will give us a tough challenge.
All you are doing is setting Moyes up for a no win situation. If we get the win then you'll say it was expected and he should get no credit for it, and if we don't win you'll be blaming him for being negative. It's remarkably transparent.
Do you think Sunderland getting a draw at City yesterday was due to Pep's negativity, or managing the fans' expectations?
I thought he sounded quite sure we would . He said the owners know we need more players. The right players .And that sounds VERY unlikely about incoming players.
Sunderland are threadbare if any club are.
They were blowing for tugs all second half last night and all behind the ball. City were awful at trying to break them down.
The cup game is I would say about 70% in our favour in terms of winning it.
Will need to be Keane back in and Jake in to right back again, Brentford play for set pieces so will need the height. Patterson just nowhere near good enough to get another start,
Supect Grealish will come in for Rohl as well moving Mcneil in to the middle.
Like most games now it will be tough. I fancy we've enough about us to win coupled with confidence from midweek but no certs
I'd hope you are right.Sunderland are threadbare if any club are.

I was surprised at just how bad City were, tbh.I'd hope you are right.
But you also said that Sunderland would get battered by City last night, so I'll take what you say with a massive pinch of salt.
It was all hands to the pumps. If you like that sort of stuff it was ok. But they were on their own ground and pretty much surrendered all the attacking play to City. I dont ever want to see Everton play that way at home against any team, no matter who they are.….i thought Sunderland were terrific in that 2nd half, players with real attitude and playing like it mattered. Surprised me, it was throughout the whole team.
