We’ve had softer pens given against us, there was contact but Young made a meal of it. Knowing what Young is like he’s clearly gone for the dive. I’d have argued that was a dive if it was the opposition. The problem I’ve got is that it wasn’t a clear and obvious error when the ref gave the pen, it took a lot of views and replays to decide it. Should have stuck with the refs call and not gone to VAR, but it’s fair enough that they overturned it.

Wouldn't have been checked at the other end, the ref gave it instantly obviously saw the pull but then thanks to some creative replays he cant see the pull so deems it never happened.

You are absolutely right and we bottled it, but it feels like you have to be out of sight to win against these clubs, otherwise the ref is just waiting to give them a helping hand.

The 3 minute VAR check for offside for the first goal proves this he's 3 yards onside.

the wall was positioned to far right (seen from Fernandes position) Left almost the whole goal to hit With his right foot he doesnt get the ball on the left of the wall So he tries the keepers side because Pickford lets a lot of room on his right.

Yes that is what I was saying. Pickfords right was protected so pickford should have had his left covered but he had a brain fart
