We’ve had softer pens given against us, there was contact but Young made a meal of it. Knowing what Young is like he’s clearly gone for the dive. I’d have argued that was a dive if it was the opposition. The problem I’ve got is that it wasn’t a clear and obvious error when the ref gave the pen, it took a lot of views and replays to decide it. Should have stuck with the refs call and not gone to VAR, but it’s fair enough that they overturned it.

They weren't looking at the shirt pulls tho.... all the ref saw was the front on angle where all you see is young diving... disgraceful from var , they didn't focus on the shirt pull at all

Quite simply one of the worst var calls ever today, it’s a stonewall penalty. For the var team to conclude that no foul had been committed is just laughable. Some of the decisions in the second half were more than a little suspect also.

Pl corruption clear as day. They don’t want one of their scabs in a relegation battle.

Aside from that disgrace, we should never have let them back in and I’m a little frustrated with Moyes game management and subs, after that terrific first half showing.

Young, even though he did well for the penalty, is finished, and caused us more problems than he solved. We needed more pace so Dixon should have come on imo.

Likewise, irogbunum and alcaraz should have been put on 15 mins earlier, and I also think sherif should have come on for Beto, who worked himself into the floor.

Theres no point I having these kids on the bench if they aren’t going to get minutes, we’re on the way to being safe and can look up and to the future, we don’t need young coming on to give foul after foul away and present the initiative to the oppostion.

Sign of the progress we’ve made under Davey, that I’m absolutley gutted we didn’t win all 3 points against this awful United side.

I guess at least from a psychological point of view that utter mess at the end changes the feeling from two points thrown away to two points stolen away, in reality I guess both the case to some extent but it's maybe not such a morale / momentum blow to have an external factor to blame.

I have no doubt that was intentional. I was saying to myself why weren't they showing the correct angle on the screen? Clearly biased VAR crew. An embarrassment and sad that Moyes did not stick up for Ash there.

Two points dropped there and for me Moyes has to carry the can. Doucoure was blowing out of his hoop at 60 minutes, shambling around like an old man. Alcaraz should have come on then and Tim should have come on for Garner at the same time.
