Still can't believe they ended with eleven on the field. Typical gutless referee on their side. Coates - how on earth he escaped without even as much as a talking to was unbelievable. Suarez was a straight red in most people's book, Suso somehow was allowed to kick the ball away without even getting a warning, and Sterling had to go for that challenge when already on a booking. Shocking, but unsurprising.

That's what Moyes should have been saying post match. He should have been hammering away at the press saying we were assaulted and offered no protection by the ref today. Instead he allows that soft [Poor language removed] Rodgers to control the narrative about what happened in the game.

Clueless. Never mind all the magnanimous comments, just get stuck into the tvvats.

So you guys know. The atmosphere in the dressing room after the game was the same as after a defeat. Shows how good we al want to do

Welcome to the world of injustice against the RS mate. There will be fellas on here who go back before this, but FA Cup semi against the RS in 1977 - we were robbed by Clive Thomas. The year changes and so does the ref's name, but the outcome doesn't.

Can't deny their youngsters are talented, but I thought they got found out today in their first real challenge.

Raheem Sterling was off his game; in fact, Leighton Baines schooled him so thoroughly early on that Brendan Rodgers made him switch flanks. Andre Wisdom and Suso went completely missing; Suso had to go off, and I think Wisdom is still looking over his shoulder for Kevin Mirallas, he was outclassed by him in the first half.

Given what you just said about how they underperformed today (and how they've failed to set the PL on fire thus far), how can you state it's undeniable that they're talented?

I know he means well etc but I wish they'd **** off with these tweets and just win a game against the [Poor language removed].

Because they're young, and talent doesn't always transfer to performances, especially high intensity ones. I think all three will be decent/good players, much as I want them all to fail.

And you're the one saying they've failed to set the PL on fire, not me. I'd argue all have been decent up until this game.

That's why I said they finally got found out today, because this was the first time any of them REALLY failed to perform.

God no. But then Osman wasn't a yellow either and Suarez was two straight reds all day.

The system is broken by bad referees all round, but by the set of rules he should have gone.
Let's put it this way. it was more of a yellow than Pienaar's second against QPR.

It's not really about seeing the game differently mate, it's the laws of the game. He's taken out the legs to prevent an attack in a careless or cynical manner.

The only reason he got away with it was because it was not long after his first yellow.

Well, I'd say it is about seeing it differently, because words like careless and cynical are subjective. Clearly, you thought his challenges were, I didn't and in the second challenge, the ref didn't either. There were other challenges in the game similar (as I saw them) to sterling's that didn't result in a booking. Agger got booked for handball, but immediately prior to that he eas carelessly (perhaps cynically) impeded by Fellaini, who went unpunished.

Decent isn't 'talented' though is it?

They look like bog standard, indentikit, knock it five yards and move five yards players.

That never helps. Managers do that every week. I really don't give a [Poor language removed] how the papers etc describe that game. They are sh*te, we bossed that game, the ref was a disgrce, end of. They can cry all they want about a goal that wasn't given, but Suarez shouldn't have been on the pitch in the first place.

Thought the players did what was expected of them today. They went for it, were on top for most of the game and had Liverpool not resorted to niggling fouls and 10 men behind the ball second half, we'd have got the win. Not to mention the own goal ffs. Oh, how the tables have turned. They're going precisely nowhere under that utter bellend, Rodgers. There was only one team wanting to win that game second half, for me. And it was the one with no recognised wingers and the lynchpin to their midfield missing. Fair play to them. That's not to say that wasn't an anti-climax, it was, but we have some bottle in this team. We're coming from behind every single time we ship the first goal.

Mirallas metatarsal. Great. What's even the ****ing point.

If that's how you feel, mate, fair enough. Trust me, I hope your right. But I can see them becoming good players, unfortunately.

I disagree. It's important to dictate the narrative of the game for confidence purposes. Rodgers is going on the attack and labeling us an easyish to control long ball team. That's damaging to our identity.

Moyes should have called them an ale house team and demanded an explanation from the officials about Liverpool's strong arm tactics.
