Just been on the palace forums for a nose, they are a salty bunch & they really seem to hate us.
Comments like why did we have to lose to THEM

There match thread here if anyone wants a laugh
This comment sent me:

I don’t mind losing if we’re well beaten by a better team.

But time again sh*t Everton teams manage to mount unlikely comebacks against us mostly playing route 1 football.
I normally quite like Palace and their fans, but they need to pull themselves back down to Earth.
They've never finished above 10th in the entire Premier League era and they are going on like they are Man City

And it wasn't a pen apparently.
They should see some of the shocker handball ones given against us earlier in the season then.

It looked like a dive from our angle but after seeing the replay it was clumsy from the defender. Can you say it was ‘soft’? Maybe, but the defender didn’t get any of the ball and he’s completely taken Tim’s standing leg. Collapsed on it. One of those where you begrudge the dwindling physicality of the game but concede that it was an incredibly clumsy challenge. I’d be ballistic if Myko gave that away so clumsily. Nobody to blame but himself.

Alcaraz played like he had a massive point to prove. Changed the game.

Beto also gave them a lot to think about.

Both players always seem to be better off the bench.

Them taking off mateta seemed to make a difference as well in our favour

Atmosphere was very good second half. Clear that the stadium design is excellent, as long as we're doing our part
Both Beto and Alcaraz suit an open game with space to run into.

I can see why he went with the lineup that started, even if it didn’t play out.

I wanted to pull my eyes out watching Beto fail to control a football for 70 minutes against West Ham.

Palace fan here - certainly do not hate Everton. Got a soft spot for you to be honest, feel for you living in a city with that other detestable club there.

It was ever thus: death, taxes and us losing at Everton. Most of the time we've been deserved losers but you lot got away with one today, we should've been out of sight by 70 minutes!

Good luck for rest of the season, always see a few Blues in the pub I'm in for the home game and they are always nothing but sound. Again, unlike your neighbours.

Gave Charly my vote for MOTM for taking the game by the horns when he came in.

But honorable mentions to Iroeg. With that level of performance from him the middle of the park tilts in our favor. That scamp Wharton lost such control of the proceedings. Will be vital going forward especially if Garner has to keep filling in at fullback.

Need consistency from Tim to make this work. Garner is probably the best RB at the club (which is horrendous in and of itself), but what we lose in midfield when he’s not there is very noticeable.

We’re banking on any one of; KDH moving deeper, Rohl staying fit or Tim keeping the level he showed today.

RB in Jan has to be on the cards regardless
KDH to move deeper and Alcaraz has to start. Ideally would like to see Rohl ready for when Gana goes to AFCON.

At the end of the day… Alcaraz needs to play, and JOB should never be RB again. Garner provides so much more balance there..

….my last game at Goodison was last seasons Everton 2 Palace 1, a game where we were 1 down at half-time. My first game at BMD today with the same outcome.

Thanks to Palace & @Alan Whittle for being such generous benefactors to our cause and not scoring a 2nd when you should have.

Moyes terrific use of substitutes shown to great effect today, changing things at half-time & not waiting as less positive managers do. Alcaraz having an instant impact, he’s the obvious MoM.

Was working today so missed the game, tried to follow but we were super busy. Delighted with the scoreline and from watching the highlights it looks like luck went our way for once, a last minute winner is great and was delighted to see Grealish and the squad so happy with the winning goal.

You’d have kept the lead and added to it if you weren’t running out of gas after your midweek trip to Poland. Having Hughes would have helped too.

Love what Palace have done. Something for us to aspire to.

From the Palace forum 🤣
