Constant attack. Go out and beat them and score again and again. First goals for Harrison and a brace for our 'free-scoring' B&B.
I can best describe what the mentality needs to be this way:
I played at an ok standard in my teens with no chance of a living out of it. We won our region's league and were invited to an event run by Norwich City as a shop window for local talent. We scraped by a few games, and then got absolutely crucified by a Nott's Forest junior team. At 7-0 they passed a penalty and back heeled it in. It was brilliant. We even enjoyed socialising with them later, they were great - before they lost in the semis to a Scottish side who's name I can't recall.
Recently, I watched a parent over berate a child in a supermarket for piddling around on a scooter and getting in people's way. It was awkward, people just felt for child who should've been controlled better. Just looked like crappy parenting.
But football isn't like that. The best way I can describe the mentality and how it's respected is THE EXACT OPPOSITE of the supermarket. Keep on dominating the opposition, don't show any compassion. Don't let up... and the better and better you look and the better and better you feel. And the more confident you become and the more you're respected.
This is the harsh reality of sport.
Burnley are down... 'Earn the right' to have a party and absolutely go and smash them.
6-1.
