They got two chances and scored them both, defence was poor at their first goal, I think Fellaini should have followed Ferguson for their second. Think Pienaar's passing is really bad today, not to mention the crossing of Baines and Neville, we're not playing that bad I think, we just have watch their counters better and get those crosses into the box as it's impossible to get through through the middle

NO!!! We bring Arteta on now we will be taking him off in 20 minutes. He will best be used late in the game when his relative fitness is less apparent to the tired legs already out there.

Exactly.

The players we have on the pitch are capable of winning us this game just as much as a guy who has been out for a year, no need whatsoever to risk him and get another injury.

They've just sat back, absorbed some pressure and took their chances. Liek Chico said they are us from a few years ago.

We've looked terrible going forward and without a clue how to break them down. Its pretty much all just hopeful balls into the box which they eat up. Twice near the end Nev done it in succesion when he could of used Donavon.

The first goal came about because of Baines crap free kick and then being out of position. So what happens 5 mins later? He takes another free kick from the same place. Sure it was better but he has been more often or not crap on set pieces for ages now. He used to be so good :(

Neville are not doing bad in defending but he seem to be wasting all his chance in crossing the ball, we should bring Coleman on, but not necessary have to take Neville off!

You got to be in it to win it bud.

I'm in shock here. They've defended well but threatened little apart from the two quick counters which they've managed to put both away. That early goal for them really played into their hands now they can happily sit 10 men behind the ball, invite us on through the massed ranks and look for the pace of Benitez as an outlet. It's not exactly masterful but it's been effective.

I can only think the possession stats must be close to 65% in our favour but delivery has really let us down. The hoofs are coming from Brum closing down so well all over the park. You can see our defenders looking for options and there just not there. Fellaini is showing for the ball but we need more options.

Crossing has obviously been dire, Baines pinned back but Neville has freedom and should have done better on a few occasions. Sort them out Moyesie, rocket needed for some. We can still get back into this. Early goal in the second half might just rattle them.

Whatever happens we're not as dire as Ronnie Goodlass is making out on the ETV commentry.

COYB big task now cause they'll be even less progressive now.

You have been wrong there, Birmingham has been playing defensive football from the beginning and wait for the counter attack chance, we had chance to clear the ball, but mess up!

neville needs to start using donovan. baines doesn't wanna play. and billy and pienaar are forgetting what a ball looks like at their feet. they've been following the sky so far.....get the ball down and play it please blue boys.
