You're payed millions to do a job.

Two worst things about the PGMOL showed themselves nicely tonight.

1. Inventing issues that didn't happen and nobody noticed, this has been the biggest issue with VAR and the "clear and obvious" stuff, a shirt pull tonight given as violent conduct because of how they've removed all nuance and slowed it down to nothing.

2. Under no circumstances may you question the great word of the referee. The true star of the show, the real hero of the game, really. Honestly, the fact the Howard Webb never made it as a footballer seeps down through the PGMOL, and that attitude is rampant. They're all egomaniacs, love when they're on TV more than the players, delighted they get the stadium on their whim now, just for an announcement.

It's hilariously transparent.
