Don’t you think Armstrong, Aznou, and Patterson would’ve kicked the living s*it out of those PKs and at least put pace on it, maybe even aiming for a top corner? At least look like you want to try to score? That series of PKs was probably the worst I’ve seen in my entire life.
Makes you wonder how the takers were decided on, and in which order. This Who wants to take one? thing should be binned. It should be You, you, you, you and you. Might as well if it was Barry and Beto volunteering. Shouldn't have to stick to a particular order either but I suppose them's the rules.

At least we were consistent, the penalties were every bit as bad as the 120 minutes of open play. Aznou was a breath of fresh air when he came on Moyes obviously hasn't managed to ruin his confidence yet, Armstrong was solid and, for an eighteen year old, looked unflappable, the back four were ok, I understand that we were struggling for players, but, that's kind of the point, Kinnear and Moyes with their smug self satisfied smiles telling us they don't think we need to do business in the window.

Don't feel too down - hopefully you'll live long enough to see even worse.

You seen the one he took for England? Nearly burst through the net. The way that both Barry and Beto strike the ball generally mean that they should be nowhere near any of those pens, defo not #2 & #3
Exactly why...

Im sick of the modern trend for penalties...

No need for all this hop, skip, stutter, interpretive dance routine before hitting the ball...

Edge of the box, pick your corner then lash it, make the keeper save it, if he doesnt we score, simple...

No trophy for 31 years is pretty demoralising but even worse is how far away we've been from even threatening to get one. 10 years since our last appearance in a semi final. We're not getting closer, we're further away than ever.

On the plus side however, going out of these competitions so early on is saving us all a lot of money.
